Sony expands Nav-U GPS line with NV-U50 and NV-U70
Sony may not have made a huge splash with its
first Nav-U GPS unit, announced earlier this year, but
that hasn't stopped the company from forging ahead with new models in the line. The £319 ($547) NV-U50, expected to
ship in Europe this January, has the TV-like look popular with other small GPS units like the TomTom Go 300, and will
come bundled with maps of England, Ireland and France. A higher-end version, the NV-U70, will come equipped with 1GB of
RAM and maps of most of Europe.

I love this little GPS...it's at the top of my Christmas List. I first saw it on http://www.cooknbutch.com/

Geez Marika, couldn't you post your crappy spam somewhere else?
As for the nav unit... I think this IS a TomTom go device, the screen and the back of the unit look identical... I know Navman made the previous (flopped) unit, and with TomTom rebranding for others (mapquest) who knows...

Anyway, Crook and b!tch doesn't even carry the Sony Nav-U GPS line.

This Sony Nav U is not a tom tom or has anything to do with the Tom Tom. It is a solely developed Sony GPS PND(Portable Navigation Device) The NVX-P1 was not a flop, but was partly made with Navman.
This new beauty will certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons as it bears Navteq software..

what does anybody think about the ipod?
Yorixx @ Dec 19th 2005 1:37AM
The software on that device is done by Navigon (http://www.navigon.com) and is based on their MobileNavigator.
